Our Story
Kate Jones founded Juniper Floral Studio with the vision of creating high- quality, all-custom florals for weddings, events, gifts, and home décor. Alongside her team of floral creative designers, each brings a unique skillset and shared vision of garden-style florals that never compromise on bloom quality.
What sets us apart? We design a unique floral experience with a customized plan and floral set-up that communicates your personality and brings your vision to life. Whether you're looking for an air of romance or an ode to Mother nature, we specialize in creating the atmosphere that you want for your wedding or special event. We even use specialized arrangements to transform arbours, chandeliers and ceilings, creating a complete floral experience that will take your breath away.
Our Philosophy = Perfectly Imperfect
Forget stuffy bouquets of tightly arranged, low-quality, roses. At Juniper Floral Studio we take a different approach to designing our bouquets. We craft garden-style arrangements from high-quality blooms and vibrant greenery which are grown locally, whenever possible and available.
Our arrangements are a pastiche of high-quality flowers and lush greenery that you'd find in your own garden, such as peonies, garden roses, vernaculus, and petraeus. Free flowing flowers look more natural, lavish and create a glorious aroma. With one of our arrangements in hand, you’ll feel as though you’re walking through an overgrown garden that's delightful and sublime.

Kate Jones
Specialties: Bridal bouquets, handwoven garlands, and floral design
I'm the owner and lead designer of Juniper Floral Studio. I love seeing the joy on a client's face when they first experience one of our floral designs and am passionate about bringing wonder, delight and romance to weddings across the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area.
Speaking of romance, I married my best friend, Jordan back in 2018 at a beautiful microbrewery in Collingwood. We tied the knot surrounded by friends and family over beer and BBQ. We currently reside in Hamilton on the beach, where we've lived for nine years and we've made the lower level of our house into the floral studio. Although Jordan has a full-time job, he helps out immensely with all things Juniper and I don't know what I would do without him. I'm an only child and my parents who are recently retired, work for Juniper as well! It truly is a family affair.
Back in 2019, Jordan and I added a cute pup named Kino to our clan, he's a golden lab, who loves endless games of tug-of-war, treats, and long walks on the beach!
In our spare time when we aren't consumed by all things business, you can find us at the rock-climbing gym, hiking with Kino, trying new restaurants or re-visiting old favourites - we are self-proclaimed foodies!
I love to read and listen to business-related podcasts like Work Party and Goal Digger, and when I need some downtime I hit the gym, shop, or watch T.V. (who doesn't love a true crime documentary)?!
Lynn Jones
Specialties: Prep, set-ups, and installations
First mom and now colleague, I started helping my daughter Kate with Juniper Floral Studio back when she created it in August 2018. I had previously retired after 44 years as an education secretary and was excited to take on a new challenge.
Since starting with Juniper Floral Studio, I have had the joyful opportunity to buy on behalf of weddings and events, design unique arrangements and install beautiful setups at various venues across the GTA. I love meeting new people and listening to their stories, so floral was a natural fit for me.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, camping, and knitting. In the summer, we take road trips to Southampton, taking pit stops along the way, visiting new communities, shops, and restaurants along Lake Huron.
Christine Mercier
Specialties: Boutonnieres, flower crowns, garlands, installations, and calligraphy
Born and raised in Sudbury, I moved to Toronto about ten years ago. I work as a Public Health Nurse, but I have also joined Juniper Floral Studio to express my creative side. I started my floral journey prepping flowers for weddings and worked my first pop-up shop during Mother’s Day. My role has expanded, and I love designing boutonnieres and corsages which both take a lot of patience and finesse.
I’m always striving for perfection, whether it’s in the kitchen or making flower arrangements. I’m not afraid to give my opinion or to take the time to do things the right way. Afterall, working with flowers is much more relaxing than my day job!
I learned calligraphy to bullet journal, but I now put the skill to use designing our custom, hand-written name tags and notes for our arrangements, including for wedding parties. These keepsakes are near and dear to my heart.
I live in the Hamilton beach area with my fiancé and two miniature schnauzers; Penny & Gus, follow their journey @omgpennyandgus
If I’m not hanging out and doing activities with my dogs, you can find me in the kitchen trying new recipes, practicing calligraphy in my Bullet Journal and watching my favourite YouTubers.
My favourite foods are pizza, Thai green curry and salmon Poke bowls. I explore different restaurants in Hamilton every month with my fiancé and I are always up for suggestions.
Kim Maciel
Specialties: Swags, urns and installation
My floral experience began 20 years ago, although I didn’t realize it at the time. I started out as a visual merchandiser for a few well-known retailers, honing design skills until I had my twin boys. After their birth, I wanted to reinvent myself. I found a creative outlet in floral design. I had worked at my grandparent’s floral shop when I was 15, and that experience sparked a love of flowers that I decided to pursue professionally.
I have been an active floral designer and instructor since 2017, focusing on weddings and seasonal designs. When I’m not enjoying working with flowers, I am mom to two very active soccer and hockey players. My family also loves to travel Europe, especially Portugal and England. However, we can’t go for too long, or I get flower withdrawal!
